    Stainless Steel Load Cells

    Load cells are an integral part of a weighbridge, and must act as durable mounting hardware to facilitate the harshest of outdoor environments.

    At Weightron, we offer two models of stainless steel weighbridge load cell, the analogue CPR and digital CPD, both of which are based on the same mechanical envelope with key design features ensure optimum performance, precision and long-term durability.

    Analogue (CPR) & Digital (CPD) Load Cells

    The CPR and CPD models meet the strict international requirements for weights and measures (OIML), trade approved weighing applications, so customers can rest assured of the product quality.

    All standard load cell units are approved to 3000 divisions, whilst special versions are available for up to 5000 divisions; 3000d provides a working scale interval of 20 kg for a 50 tonne weighbridge, whilst 5000d gives an interval of 10 kg.

    CPR Analogue Loadcell

    Load cell models CPR-M associate high level metrological characteristics with extreme resilience. This combination is one of the plus points that has contributed to the huge success of this product on the market. The entire cell, from the central body to the casing, is made in highly corrosion-resistant stainless steel.

    CPD Digital Loadcell

    The calibration data for each load cell in the digital version are memorised in the electronic memory, thus facilitating calibration, the search for faults, maintenance and repair. The cell body is made in 17-4 PH stainless steel, a material with high technical characteristics, used in saline environments, where high corrosion-proof characteristics are required.

      What is a Weighbridge?

      A Weighbridge (US truck scale) is a large, low-profile scale used to weigh both road and off-road vehicles (rigid and articulated lorries, dumper trucks, vans etc) and their contents. The load carried by the vehicle is calculated by weighing the vehicle both empty and loaded. The main weighbridge deck structure can be constructed from steel, pre-stressed concrete or steel-concrete composite.

      What is a Pit-Mounted Weighbridge?

      Installed inside a pit, these weighbridges sit flush with the road surface. As they don’t require ramps, they take up less road surface compared to surface mount installations. Suitable for sites with restricted access.

      What is a Surface-Mounted Weighbridge?

      Installed above ground, these weighbridges incorporate steel or concrete ramps to allow vehicles to drive on and off. One advantage is that the ramps slow down vehicle entry speed. Less foundation works are required when compared with pit mount installations. Surface designs are suitable for temporary/portable installations when used with steel ramps.
