Calibration vs. Verification

*It is important to note a key difference between calibration and verification:

•       Calibration: Determines the scale’s measurement error and corrects any inaccuracy by applying a suitable adjustment.
•       Verification: Confirms that the measurement error is within the maximum permissible error. For trade-approved scales, this limit is defined by law. No physical adjustments are made during verification.

Even if your scale does not require compliance with weights and measures regulations, maintaining its accuracy remains an economically sound decision.
