    DD1010 & DD700 Terminals – FAQs

    The DD1010 Terminal and the DD700 Terminal are both terminals that connects to scales and various printers. See below some common FAQs for both terminals.

    The DD1010 is also known as the Flynet50.

     

    Frequently Asked Questions: DD1010 & DD700

    Can the indicator be used with digital as well as analogue load cells or either one?

    • The DD700 Series can be used for Analogue or Digital loadcells, an exchange of scale card can be made by a factory trained technician.
    • The DD1010 series can be used for Analogue or Digital by swapping the scale card inside, it is recommended to order the correct model, but an exchange of scale card can be made by a factory trained technician.

    How many load cells can be connected to the indicator?

    • DD700 series can have 12 off 350 Ohm or 24 off 700 Ohm loadcells connected DD700 series can have 12 off Digital loadcells connected.
    • Flynet50 series Max number of analogue cells: 12 cells with 350 Ohm or 24 off 700 Ohm impedance for each scale (NOTE 12+12 in a dual scale version (duplex)).
    • Flynet50 series Max number of digital cells: 16 for each scale, 8 + 8 in the double scale version (duplex).

    What is the maximum resolution of the indicator?

    • DD700 Series has an internal resolution of 1000000 points with 10 Hz & a maximum approved resolution two ranges of 4000 Divisions or three ranges of 3000 divisions Flynet50 series approval for up to 6000 divisions – Multidivision and Multirange versions (3×3000 or 2×4000)

    Can your indicators be paired with digital pre calibrated load cells? So that no calibration is required onsite?

    • You can take a new indicator to pre-calibrated loadcells and copy the data into the indicator so that no on site calibration is required or conversely you can take a pre-calibrated indicator and push the calibration to uncalibrated loadcells.

    Does the indicator have Multidivision and multirange versions?

    • DD700 Series up to three ranges of 3000 divisions.
    • Flynet50 Series up to Multidivision and Multirange versions (3×3000 or 2×4000).

    How many weighbridges can an indicator be connected to?

    • DD700 series ideally one but can connect two Analogue weighbridges in multiplexing Flynet50 series can connect to max 2 analog or digital scales.

    Which are the ports available on the indicator? (Eg: USB, RS-232, RS-422, Ethernet, SD Card etc.)

    • DD700 series 1 x USB Host – 1 x USB Client – 1 x RS232 – 1 x RS232/422/485 – 2 x Input/Outputs as standard.
    • Options: Serial option card RS232, RS422 / RS485 optoisolated format, PROFIBUS DP expansion card, EtherNet/IP expansion card, Analog output card 0-10 V/ 4-20mA, WiFi Card10/100 Mbit/sec, Expansion memory MPP.

    What is the IP class of the indicator? (Whether it is waterproof or dustproof and to what extent?)

    Can software be added according to the needs of the customer and till what extent can the operating system be customized for ease of use?

    • The Flynet50 is open framed and fully programmable using Visual Studio so your software engineer can develop your own applications for the terminal.

    Does the indicator possess remote connectivity and till what extent relating to, diagnosis, data management, software repairs and upgrades?

    • DD700 has remote connection for diagnostics via the NEXIA remote diagnostics software, software updates can be made via the USB interface, data management backup/restore can be made via USB connection or via PC connection to the data archive CSV files.
    • We also have a configuration software tool that allows for Print layout configuration, Messages Printed or displayed to be modified, short cut keys to be added or removed and names modified, configuration of complete system and backup / restore, logo’s on splash screen or printed logo’s to be changed or modified.
    • Flynet50 has remote connection for diagnostics via the NEXIA remote diagnostics software, or connection can be made via VNC connection directly to the terminal. Software can be upgraded remotely or via USB/SD card, data management can be made remotely via remote commands from a PC.
    • We also have a configuration software tool that allows for Print layout configuration, Messages Printed to be modified, logo’s on splash screen or printed logo’s to be changed or modified.

    Does the indicator have the capability to store any overloaded weighments relating to the capacity of the weighbridge?

    • The DD700 Indicator stores last 5 x overloads values Number of Weighing performed
    • Time from last switch on Time of continual usage
    • Next Calibration due date by Time or by number of Weighing (message on display) Next Audit date (message on display)
    • Next Inspection date (message on display)
    • The Flynet50 has a log file that store all overloaded weighing operations Any changes to the configuration (Printers added etc.)

    How many levels of protection are available on the indicator?

    • DD700 has a unique password for every engineer to enter the setup and configuration
    • Flynet50 has 3 levels of password for Users
      1. User
      2. Manager
      3. Administrator
      4. Level is for the Engineer to gain access to the system for setup and configuration this can be combined with the unique password for every engineer

    Does it offer static or dynamic password systems?

    • The Unique engineer password changes December 31st each year. The Flynet50 Passwords are static but can be reset by the Engineer level.

    What is the ease of installation of the indicator?

    • Installation & configuration is very easy for a trained engineer, also it is possible to upload previously stored setup and configuration to a new terminal to save time

    What is ease of operation of the indicator?

    • DD700 is simple and easy to use with few key presses to perform a weighing operation, Multilingual with 6 languages as standard. Flynet50 is very easy to use with graphical menu driven operation, Multilingual with 6 languages as standard

    What is the ease of calibration of the load cells?

    • CPR-M loadcells are easy to calibrate with corner adjustment via the junction box and menu driven calibration on the terminals.
    • CPD-M loadcells are easy to calibrate with the terminal auto assigning the loadcell numbers for corner calibration and automatically adjusting and storing the corner calibration before proceeding to Zero – Full scale calibration.

    Can the calibration be checked through logs, remotely as well as onsite, and how frequently does the indicator need to be calibrated?

    • DD700 calibration can only be checked when on site, calibration should be carried out in accordance with local rules. Flynet50 can be checked remotely but calibration should only be carried out when on site in accordance with local rules.

    What are the methods for corner correction available?

    • CPR-M loadcells corner correction is made via the junction box.
    • CPD-M loadcell corner correction is made via the terminal DD700 or Flynet50

    What are the possibilities of repairs on card level?

    • We normally don’t recommend repairs to at card level.

    Which type of printers can be connected with the indicators?

    • In DD700 – all Bilanciai made printers can be connected along with Epsom TMU range and LX range, Zebra thermal label printer. We have a Neutral setting that allows to connect to POS printers & unknown brands.
    • In Flynet50 – all Bilanciai made printers can be connected along with Epsom TMU range and LX range, Zebra thermal label printer and an optional software key to enable Network Printers with PCL format (HP). We have a Neutral setting that allows to connect to POS printers & unknown brands.

    What are the report systems available on the indicator?

    • DD700 – Product-Client- Truck reports, Partial & Grand total. Flynet50 – Product-Client- Truck reports, Partial & Grand total, filter by day / month.

    Can your indicators be integrated with RFID, cameras, individually and together?

    • Bar code & RFID readers can be connected to the DD700 & Flynet50, cameras are not supported.

    Do you have an unmanned system?

    • The DD2060 is the unmanned version of the Flynet50, the main difference is the 12” touch screen display and integral printer and readers.

    What is the lightning protection available in the indicators?

    • The lightening protection that is available is already inside the junction boxes, providing protection along the signal line from the JB to indicator.

    Does the indicator possess possibilities for self-diagnosis, and till what extent?

    • The indicator range will display error messages that relate to a fault that has occurred.
    • You can test individual components inside the indicator DD700 & Flynet50 in a maintenance section, testing from serials lines, keypad, display, scale card etc. The Flynet50 has an internal log file that records every error that has happened with tine & date stamp.

    Can the indicator make a log of voltage spikes and abrupt changes in external conditions of itself and the load cells?

    • The Flynet50 can make a log of these changes when connected to digital CPD-M loadcells

    Can I perform Dynamic Axle Weighing on a standard weighbridge?

    • When the Flynet50 are combined with the CPD-M digital loadcells is it possible to have a software key activation for Axle Weighing. This allows for dynamic axle weighing to be performed on a standard PIT MOUNTED weighbridge up to 5km/ph with an accuracy of 5%. The system will display the standard truck weigh along with individual Axle Weights if required.

      What is a Weighbridge?

      A Weighbridge (US truck scale) is a large, low-profile scale used to weigh both road and off-road vehicles (rigid and articulated lorries, dumper trucks, vans etc) and their contents. The load carried by the vehicle is calculated by weighing the vehicle both empty and loaded. The main weighbridge deck structure can be constructed from steel, pre-stressed concrete or steel-concrete composite.

      What is a Pit-Mounted Weighbridge?

      Installed inside a pit, these weighbridges sit flush with the road surface. As they don’t require ramps, they take up less road surface compared to surface mount installations. Suitable for sites with restricted access.

      What is a Surface-Mounted Weighbridge?

      Installed above ground, these weighbridges incorporate steel or concrete ramps to allow vehicles to drive on and off. One advantage is that the ramps slow down vehicle entry speed. Less foundation works are required when compared with pit mount installations. Surface designs are suitable for temporary/portable installations when used with steel ramps.
