Introducing Centrix: Weightron’s Cloud-Based Software Platform for Smarter Weighing Operations

    Weightron Admin|24 June, 2026

Modern weighing operations are becoming more connected, more automated, and more data-driven than ever before. Businesses no longer want isolated weighbridges, fragmented systems, or manual processes slowing down their sites. They need live visibility, reliable reporting, seamless integration, and complete control across every weighing location.

That is where Centrix comes in.

Centrix is Weightron’s powerful cloud-based SaaS platform, designed to connect weighbridges, driver terminals, site hardware, operational data, and business systems into one smart, unified solution.

Built for modern industrial weighing environments, Centrix gives businesses a clearer view of their operations, helping them improve efficiency, reduce manual admin, and make faster, better-informed decisions.

A Smarter Way to Manage Weighing Operations

Traditional weighing systems often rely on disconnected software, local servers, manual data entry, and separate site-based processes. This can make it difficult to see what is happening across multiple locations, manage users effectively, or access accurate data when it is needed most.

Centrix brings everything together into one central platform.

Whether you operate a single weighbridge or manage multiple sites nationally or internationally, Centrix allows you to monitor, manage, and control your weighing operations from one secure cloud-based system.

The platform supports different levels of administration, including:

    • Local administration
    • National administration
    • International administration
    • Site-based operators
    • Multi-site operational teams

This gives each user the right level of access and control, while maintaining a consistent view of weighing activity across the business.

Connected Weighbridges, Terminals & Site Hardware

Centrix is designed to work with a wide range of weighing environments, from simple weighbridge-only installations to advanced automated sites with driver terminals, ANPR cameras, traffic lights, barriers, and control systems.

    A typical setup can include:

    • Weighbridges
    • Driver-operated terminals
    • ANPR camera systems
    • Traffic lights
    • Barriers
    • Ticket printers
    • Site control hardware
    • Connected weighing devices

Through Centrix, these devices can be linked and controlled through a single system, giving operators and administrators a clear overview of site activity.

The system can also provide a 3D SCADA-style view, helping businesses monitor equipment, vehicle movements, and weighing processes with greater clarity.

How an Automated Weighing Process Works

Centrix helps automate and simplify the weighing process for both drivers and site teams.

A typical automated weighing operation may work as follows:

    Stage 1: Vehicle Arrival

The vehicle approaches the weighbridge and waits for clearance. Once the traffic light turns green, the driver proceeds onto the weighbridge.

    Stage 2: Vehicle Recognition

An ANPR camera captures the vehicle registration number. This information is then displayed on the driver-operated terminal, helping confirm the vehicle details quickly and accurately.

    Stage 3: Driver Interaction

The driver follows the weighing process on the interactive terminal screen. They may be asked to confirm information, answer site-specific questions, select a date, enter details, or provide a signature.

This reduces the need for manual operator input and helps ensure the correct information is captured at the point of weighing.

Stage 4: Ticket Printing and Exit

Once the weighing process is complete, the terminal can print a ticket and provide instructions for the driver to exit the weighbridge safely.

By automating these steps, Centrix helps reduce delays, improve consistency, and support a smoother flow of vehicles through the site.

Core Data and Reporting in One Place

Centrix allows businesses to manage core data such as customers, hauliers, vehicles, materials, transactions, and related records from one central platform.

This makes it easier to maintain accurate information across multiple sites and reduces the risk of duplicated, inconsistent, or outdated records.

The platform also supports accurate reporting for:

    • Operational performance
    • Internal business insight
    • Audit requirements
    • Regulatory compliance
    • Waste tracking
    • Transaction history
    • Customer and haulier activity

Centrix is also designed to support DEFRA Digital Waste Tracking requirements, helping businesses prepare for the changing regulatory landscape around waste movement and reporting.

    Seamless Integration with Business Systems

Centrix is built to connect with wider business systems, helping weighing data move smoothly between operational teams, finance departments, CRM platforms, and ERP systems.

The platform can integrate with systems such as:

    • Sage
    • SAP
    • Oracle
    • Xero
    • Intuit QuickBooks
    • Navis
    • Other financial, CRM, and ERP platforms

Centrix also supports flexible API connections, custom endpoints, standard integrations, and MQTT services.

This allows businesses to exchange data between Centrix and their wider software environment, reducing manual rekeying, improving accuracy, and helping teams work from one reliable source of information.

    Secure Cloud-Based Access

Because Centrix is cloud-based, users can securely access their data anytime, anywhere.

The platform is built with OAuth 2.0 authentication, helping protect operational data while giving authorised users access to the information they need.

This removes the need for traditional local servers and gives businesses a more flexible, scalable way to manage weighing activity across one or multiple sites.

      Frequently Asked Questions

      What is a Weighbridge?

A Weighbridge (US truck scale) is a large, low-profile scale used to weigh both road and off-road vehicles (rigid and articulated lorries, dumper trucks, vans etc) and their contents. The load carried by the vehicle is calculated by weighing the vehicle both empty and loaded. The main weighbridge deck structure can be constructed from steel, pre-stressed concrete or steel-concrete composite.

      What is a Pit-Mounted Weighbridge?

Installed inside a pit, these weighbridges sit flush with the road surface. As they don’t require ramps, they take up less road surface compared to surface mount installations. Suitable for sites with restricted access.

      What is a Surface-Mounted Weighbridge?

Installed above ground, these weighbridges incorporate steel or concrete ramps to allow vehicles to drive on and off. One advantage is that the ramps slow down vehicle entry speed. Less foundation works are required when compared with pit mount installations. Surface designs are suitable for temporary/portable installations when used with steel ramps.
