    DD1050 Terminal – Terminal Errors

    Problem Cause Remedy
When the on/off key is pressed, the terminal does not come on The light blue LED is off Check the status of the LED on the power supply unit:

if it is ON, make sure the connector of point 9 has been correctly plugged in.

The terminal does not come on The key has not been pressed correctly Press the logo at the centre of the key. Upon pressing, the casing on the key clicks
Pressing has no effect on the touch screen. Display not calibrated Turn the terminal off and on.

Within 5 seconds from turning on, press any area of the display.

    Perform the display calibration operations.

Double clicking on the display is not always correct. Wrong double clicking time Turn the terminal off and on.

Within 5 seconds from turning on, press any area of the display.

    Perform the display calibration operations.

    DD1050 Terminal – Scale Errors

    Problem Cause Remedy
9999999 Scale is overloaded Reduce weight to a value below the maximum capacity, i.e. within permissible weighing range.
◣◢ – – Weight cannot be reset Empty the scale
    – – Unstable weight Remove cause of weight instability and try turning on the terminal again
    – LOCK – Instrument has not been reset correctly Empty the scale
    – 01 –
    Converter out of order
Connection to load cell wrong or missing Check extension cord, connector block and load cells
    – 01 –
    Converter out of order
(*) Return signal from load cell higher than +23 mV or lower than -23 mV Make sure the load cell is in working order and that it works within its range
    – 01 –
    Converter out of order
(*) Board damaged Check conversion board with a load cell simulator. If the result of the check is negative, replace the converter’s board
    – 01 –
    Converter out of order
(**) Digital cells do not respond Check cell connections
    – 02 –
    Parameter memory error
Data error in the parameter memory of the board Check linear sampling parameters
    – 06 – (**) Serial number error on digital cell Check serial numbers and if necessary perform scale corner calibration.
    – 07 – (**) Breakage of one of the cells of a multicell system Replace the cell and perform corner calibration of scale or corner calibration of each cell.
    – 08 – (**) Scale board damaged Replace scale board or perform corner calibration or restore data from terminal (upon condition that they were saved before breakage)
    – 09 – (**) First use Perform corner calibration.
    – 10 – (**) At least one cell is not configured Perform corner calibration.
    – 11 – (**) Digital cell power supply problems Check cables and power supply voltage
    – 12 – (**) Digital cell power supply problems Replace load cell signalling error
    – 13 – (**) Cell’s internal temperature does not fall within range (-40 ÷ 100°C) Replace load cell signalling error.

Perform corner calibration for the replaced cell.

    – 21 – (**) Temporary digital cell error

      Frequently Asked Questions

      What is a Weighbridge?

A Weighbridge (US truck scale) is a large, low-profile scale used to weigh both road and off-road vehicles (rigid and articulated lorries, dumper trucks, vans etc) and their contents. The load carried by the vehicle is calculated by weighing the vehicle both empty and loaded. The main weighbridge deck structure can be constructed from steel, pre-stressed concrete or steel-concrete composite.

      What is a Pit-Mounted Weighbridge?

Installed inside a pit, these weighbridges sit flush with the road surface. As they don’t require ramps, they take up less road surface compared to surface mount installations. Suitable for sites with restricted access.

      What is a Surface-Mounted Weighbridge?

Installed above ground, these weighbridges incorporate steel or concrete ramps to allow vehicles to drive on and off. One advantage is that the ramps slow down vehicle entry speed. Less foundation works are required when compared with pit mount installations. Surface designs are suitable for temporary/portable installations when used with steel ramps.
